Post subject: installed sidux on pendrive but ...

I've installed sidux on pendrive, everything OK, booted and so on.
Installed the Nvidia drivers. When reboot, the nvidia drivers vanished.
How to keep the changes in the pendrive? It seems that all the modifications goes to RAM, not to the Pendrive. |

did you use 'install-sidux-to-usb' or do it manualy?
if maynualy, it needs the option 'persist'
in the 'install-sidux-to-usb' gui it is enabled by default.

I've used 'install-sidux-to-usb', and checked the "persist" box.

i never had it fail and i did at least 50 pendrives.
and the box is checked by default.

Hi,
It seems that the problem is with xorg.conf. It changes to the original at each boot, with this message, at the top of xorg.conf file:
# This file was generated by fll_xorgconfig, the F.U.L.L.S.T.O.R.Y.
# Xorg Configuration tool.
How to keep the changes in this file?

could you please do the install again and use the cheatcode 'noxorgconfig'
and please paste the kernel line from the menu.lst.

Stupid, slightly off-topic question, Once installed on a pendrive, can I boot 'any' computer with the os?
That would be damn cool If I could carry my os on a drive, and any computer I'm at, just reboot.

well, any box that is able to boot from usb.
needs to be set as boot device in the BIOS
