ok, here's the question, I've got a home pc and a work pc, I'd like to share my files between them (It'd be sooooo wonderful) and they are both behind some router and firewall and so on. One is running sidux, the other one winsuck XP
Is a vpn my solution (any howto to suggest)? Is hamachi an easy one?
Other suggestions?

Have you looked at Samba?

I have a mixed network at home of Linux and windows. I can share any file and see any file on my network.

oops, Sorry I didn't have my coffee yet. I think VPN and setting up a router to allow access is one way.

One pc is at home, the other one is 15 km away, I don't think samba is useful, isn't it?

So let's check ssh, is putty a good solution?

ok, do you know any good howto that can help me setting ssh up (using putty or something else...)?

plus you need something like dyndns.org to figure out the IP of the machine you're going to connect to
