I just attempted to install Beryl today on a new machine
using the stable repo
deb http://download.tuxfamily.org/myberyl/s ... ly-stable/ ./
I ran an apt-get update & that worked fine
but when I try to install Beryl using the command
apt-get install beryl-shame
I get this error
Quote:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
beryl-shame: Depends: beryl-dev but it is not going to be installed
Depends: emerald but it is not going to be installed
Depends: aquamarine-dev but it is not going to be installed
Depends: emerald-themes but it is not going to be installed
Depends: bdock but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libemeraldengine0 but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libemeraldengine-dev but it is not going to be installed
E: Broken packages
I am in no rush just thought I would pass this along.
Thanks for your great work shame |

| Thank you very much shame. I haven't dist-upgraded yet, but at least it's not going to be removed anymore. |

As far as beryl is concerned this may well be the end of the road.
Rebuilding all the beryl stuff against the new stuff might get it behaving but I'm not sure when I will get time to do this as I have very little free time at the moment.
Regarding the freewins plugin crashing compiz fusion, freewins has apparently been fixed now so I will update it soon as I can. |
