Post subject: amd64 & 2 problems of a new install

1. no ATI driver is insatlled with any slh kernel.
I manage to install 8.50.3 in 2.6.25-2-amd64 #1 SMP but I need some futures of the latest slh kernel.
2. I had many trubles to make java plugin to work.
I read several posts and I tried all of them. I have no idea how i did it  but:
a. Some how konqueror works fine now
b. iceweasel I can see the dnacing figure in java test page but in most sites it crases (i.e in the yahoo gamnes).
c. Opera.... not even a dance...
Can I do something more useful about 1 and/or 2?

PS. 8.50.3 & 2.6.25-2 cooperate very well. I can use googleearth, videos etc in high speeds. No crashes and no misfanctions. |

1.) fglrx do not work with sidux kernels >= 2.6.25, blame ATI
for that you have to use a debian kernel
2.) what java? sun-java or openjdk?
openjdk does not work fine on all pages yet.

1. Yes I know, but in my xase fglrx does not work even with <=2.6.25
2. I have both installed and I tried both too. Same behavior.
